Your Voice/Brand Guide

How I taught my AI
to stop sounding generic.

AI is notorious for sounding like, well, AI. Telltale phrases, like "Let's dive in", "The real truth", em dashes galore, giving any educated consumer a giant red flag that this writing is not original to you. Fill this out once, paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or Grok, and it starts sounding like you. Your answers save automatically to this browser.

"For the woman building something the world doesn't have a category for yet."

Step 1 of 8

01

The basics

The foundation everything else rests on. Write like you're introducing yourself to someone who already gets it.

Don't overthink it. What do you actually do?
List them all — the shiny new launch and the thing you've been building for a decade.
02

Who you're building for

The more specific you are here, the more your AI will speak directly to the people who need you most.

03

How you sound

Your voice is your brand. This is where the magic is — let's make sure your AI doesn't flatten it.

Select all that apply, or ignore and write your own below.
Direct Warm Funny Irreverent Grounded Educational Motivational Conversational Authoritative Honest to a fault Unapologetic Nuanced Research-backed Vulnerable Witty
The single most powerful thing you can give your AI. A newsletter intro, IG caption, or podcast opener works perfectly.
04

How you look

Voice isn't just words. Give your AI your visual identity so it can describe, design, or reference your brand accurately.

Headline font, body font — whatever you use consistently.
Add hex codes and a short label for each. They'll show as live swatches.
Logo usage, imagery style, design references, anything that shapes how your brand looks.
05

What you believe

What you believe shapes how you sound. Give your AI the philosophy, not just the personality.

What would you never compromise on, even if it cost you?
What's the world you're trying to make more real through your work?
06

Where you show up

Different platforms, different energy. Tell your AI what each one needs from you.

Substack Instagram LinkedIn Podcast TikTok YouTube Email list Facebook Community / membership Stan Store Newsletter
Long-form essays Short captions Email newsletters Video scripts Podcast show notes Carousel copy Sales pages Pitch decks Reels / short video Books / guides
e.g. LinkedIn = more polished, Instagram = raw and personal, Substack = long and unfiltered
07

Your operating manual

The instructions that keep your AI from going rogue. Be as specific as you want — these are your standing orders.

The stuff that doesn't fit a category

Context, backstory, nuance — give it all. This is your catch-all, and it matters.
